Occam's (Ockham's) Razor

In Wind, Sand, and Stars, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

There it is again, Ockham's Razor!

Or is science shaped by influences beyond itself?
